Ravichandran Ashwin is the No.1 bowler in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings
Cricket: Ashwin showcased his exceptional skills during the Dharamsala match against England, where the seasoned right-arm bowler took four wickets in the initial innings and secured his 36th five-wicket haul in the following innings. This outstanding performance contributed to India’s resounding victory in the fifth and ultimate Test of the series.
Ashwin’s recent success has propelled him back into the top spot among Test bowlers, surpassing Bumrah. This marks the sixth time Ashwin has achieved this feat, with his first time being in December 2015. Meanwhile, Bumrah now shares the second position with Australian seamer Josh Hazlewood, who performed exceptionally well in the second Test against New Zealand.
Additionally, Ashwin’s teammate Kuldeep Yadav has made significant progress, climbing 15 places to 16th in the rankings after his impressive performance against England. Similarly, New Zealand’s Matt Henry has also reached a career-best ranking, surpassing the 700-point mark for the first time and moving up six spots to 12th.
