The 96th Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), was held on March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Throughout the event, AMPAS awarded Academy Awards (commonly known as Oscars) in 23 categories to films released in 2023. The ceremony was broadcasted in the United States by ABC and was produced by Raj Kapoor, Molly McNearney, and Katy Mullan, under the direction of Hamish Hamilton. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel served as the host for the fourth time, having previously hosted the 89th ceremony in 2017, the 90th ceremony in 2018, and the 95th ceremony in 2023.
