NMC has issued guidelines for the processing of applications for postgraduate medical courses.
NMC has issued guidelines for the application process of postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2024-25. According to an official statement from the NMC, the application procedure for the PG courses has been approved by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) for the academic year 2024-2025. Applications were accepted for the commencement of new PG courses and the expansion of PG seats in current medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25.
A total of 665 applications were submitted to the MARB for the purpose of increasing postgraduate seats in current medical colleges. The official statement from the NMC stated, “The MARB has received a total of 665 applications for the expansion of PG seats in existing medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25. These applications underwent a thorough review by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), taking into consideration the establishment of medical institutions, assessment and rating regulations of 2023 published on June 2, 2023, PG-Medical Education Regulation 2000 issued on August 22, 2000, and strictly adhering to the criteria mentioned in the public notice for inviting applications on the NMC website dated August 16, 2023.”
