Prime Minister Modi has officially launched 53 projects valued at Rs 6,400 crores.
During his initial trip to Jammu and Kashmir following the revocation of Article 370, Prime Minister Modi unveiled 53 development initiatives totalling Rs 6,400 crores on Thursday.
A scheme worth Rs 5000 crore has been introduced to enhance the agro-economic sector.
PM Modi has initiated the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Programme’ in Jammu and Kashmir with the objective of enhancing horticulture, agriculture, and livestock husbandry. This program, valued at Rs 5,000 crores, is designed to offer skill development opportunities to approximately 2.5 lakh farmers through a dedicated Daksh Kisan portal. Additionally, the scheme will establish around 2000 Kisan Khidmat Ghars to further support the agricultural community.
Investments totalling Rs 1,400 crores allocated for the tourism industry
Prime Minister Modi launched various initiatives totaling Rs 1,400 crores to enhance tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. These initiatives encompass the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD schemes, as well as the endeavor for the ‘Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine’ in Srinagar.
