- B.Tech.: Completion of six semesters in relevant engineering disciplines.
- M.Tech.: Completion of two semesters in relevant engineering disciplines.
- M.Sc./M.A.: Completion of the first year in disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Humanities.

Selection Criteria
Selection of candidates will be based on the recommendations of the selection committee within the respective departments at NIT Meghalaya. While every effort will be made to accommodate all deserving applicants, NIT Meghalaya reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its discretion.

Financial Aspects
Selected candidates are required to deposit a caution money of Rs. 7500/-, refundable upon successful completion of the internship. Additionally, participants opting for hostel accommodation will incur a non-refundable maintenance charge of Rs. 6000/-. Mess charges are applicable at a rate of Rs. 168/- per day and must be paid in advance upon joining the program.
