Summer Internship Program (SIP)
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) at VNIT, Nagpur, stands as a beacon of excellence, inviting scholars from diverse educational backgrounds to partake in an enriching experience. Tailored for students at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels, this program aims to foster a culture of innovation and research.
Overview
Under the SIP, scholars are encouraged to delve into research and consultancy-oriented projects, guided by experienced mentors. This unique opportunity allows participants to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, honing their skills and expanding their horizons.
Rules & Regulations for SIP 2024
- Duration: The SIP 2024 spans from 1st June to 15th July 2024, offering a comprehensive experience over six weeks.
- Eligibility: Students who have completed their 3rd year of BE/BTech, 3rd or 4th year of B.Arch/BS-MS, or are in their 1st year of MSc courses at recognized institutions are eligible. A minimum CGPA of 6.75 is required for consideration.
- Application Process: Interested candidates must fill out the Google Form available on the VNIT website by 14th April 2024. Selections will be made based on academic merit and project compatibility.
- Fees: Upon selection, candidates are required to complete joining formalities by paying a nominal fee. Accommodation and mess facilities are available for those in need, with charges applicable as per institute norms.
- Project Allocation: The list of SIP projects, along with respective supervisors, will be released between March 25th and April 14th, 2024. Scholars are advised to choose projects aligned with their interests and expertise.
General Instructions
- The SIP is open to both VNIT and non-VNIT students, fostering inclusivity and diversity.
- Participants must adhere to the prescribed duration of the internship, ensuring a minimum of six weeks of active engagement.
- Tangible outcomes such as conference papers, patents, or experimental developments are expected from participants, culminating in a seminar and project report submission.
Certification & Compliance
- Upon successful completion, interns will receive certificates signed by faculty members and the Dean’s office.
- Adherence to VNIT’s rules and regulations is paramount, with any malpractice leading to termination of the internship.
- Safety measures and accident liability are outlined, prioritizing the well-being of all participants.
Upto Semester Long Internship Program (USLIP)
For scholars seeking an extended engagement, VNIT offers the Upto Semester Long Internship Program (USLIP). Designed to accommodate students from external institutions, this program provides an immersive learning experience spanning up to six months.
Overview
USLIP facilitates collaborations between VNIT faculty members and students from external colleges/institutes, promoting knowledge exchange and academic enrichment. Participants have the opportunity to delve deep into research projects while availing hostel and food facilities on a payment basis.
Application & Admission
Interested students can apply for USLIP by reaching out to faculty members for project opportunities. Upon confirmation, admission procedures must be completed by specified deadlines to commence the internship.
